At Home Saturday

I hereby declare that I am in the state of fund insufficiency. No extra anda for roaming around the city. Same thing goes with Ray, so we decided to stay at our respective homes for this weekend.

To do away with the boredom, what I did was watch The Walking Dead. I repeated the first three episodes and in a while, I found myself sleeping. After 3 hours of sleep I watched half of the fourth episode. I stopped watching the fourth because I was bored of the phasing of the story. Instead, I just played Plants vs Zombies in my iPod Touch. Yes, you read right. I played PvZ for like 2 hours before going to sleep. I don't know what has gotten into me but I really enjoyed the game.

As for my food today, I am expecting a major body bloat already. I ate 4 pieces of brownies and 2 packs of Snickers double. Sigh.

Burger Barger!

I've been craving like crazy since lunchtime to which I ate with Mitc and Ray. I had sinigang na baboy, Mitc had mashed potato, fries and her pastel, while Ray had rellenong bangus. I ate a lot, since Ray gave me additional rice, but it left me craving for more food. I know I am already gaining weight, but how would I love to eat more. *thunderstorm*

Due to my headache after lunch which I blame to my fondness of fried food, especially fries, Ray and I had ice cream. I ordered a McFlurry™ Oreo Overload and he ordered a double Caramel sundae. But still, I wasn't full. We decided to have our snack bought at KFC™: a bucket of fries and a Double-Down™. He even suggested to buy extra rice for the Double-Down™. I agreed and anticipated for snack time.

While working, I came across Everything In Budget and learned that there is a promo for Brother's Burger™. They are having an anniversary promo which gives discounts to the original price of their burger. Originally worth Php 125.00, they are now offering it for Php 97.50. Not bad. I sent messages to Mitc and Ray and we agreed to have a burger for our snack. We walked all the way to SM Megamall and waited for 30 minutes for our order to be served.

We ate the burger at the office and as usual, I was the first to finish it. But, sigh, I'm still hungry. :|

Potatoes and Sweets

Currently, I am having my last picks from the french fries box. For today's breakfast, I had one and a half buchi from Ray and a cup of Nescafe™ Cafe Mocha from our office vending machine. Since it was unlikely for me to be full easily, we bought a hash brown and a large fries at McDonald's™. And yes, it is I who ate the majority of the fries.. and the hash brown.

A Morning Tea Bread-fast

My daily office transportation routine will be walking down the slopes of COGEO for about five to seven minutes. When I reach the terminal, I'll be riding a Cubao-bound or Santolan-bound jeepney or FX and drop off at Granpolo Hotel in Masinag, where the van terminal to Ortigas and Ayala are. From there I will ride a van to Ortigas and go down at Garnet Road, in front of Strata 2000.

I fell asleep during the whole travel time from Antipolo to Ortigas, thanks to my strenous night from the badminton tournament yesterday. I woke up when we're already at Strata 2000 and I noticed that there is a newly-opened Pan De Manila™ store there. I am hungry that time since it's almost 1000H. I bought three wheat pandesals and headed for BonAppetea™ inside Strata. I bought an Assam Black Tea™ which is served hot and with 5% sugar.

And that is what you call breakfast.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

I just bought the PC game The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim lately after lunch. Yes, I am smelling addiction again. But as I've read from reviews, the system requirements were quite too high. I am pretty fortunate though that my computer at home met the minimum requirements. The thing is, Ray met the recommended requirements. *yes, rage face meme right here* Because of that, he will be the first to try the game. Tomorrow, it will be mine. *evil laugh* Here are the system requirements I am talking about:

Minimum System Requirements
* OS: 7/Vista/XP PC (32 or 64 bit)
* CPU: Dual Core 2.0GHz or equivalent processor
* RAM: 2 GB
* HDD: 6 GB
* Graphics: 512 MB card
* Sound Card: DirectX 9 Compatible
* DirectX: Version 9.0c
* Internet for Steam activation

Recommended System Requirements
* OS: Windows 7/Vista/XP (32 or 64 bit)
* CPU: Quad-core Intel or AMD CPU
* RAM: 4 GB
* HDD: 6 GB free disk space
* Graphics: 1 GB Graphics Memory
* Sound Card: DirectX 9 Compatible
* DirectX: Version 9.0c
* Internet for Steam activation

This motivated me to buy a new computer. And I will, because of this game.

Badminton Tournament II: Lose-Lose-Win-IDK!

Despite my body protests to wake up, I still did; still not figured out how I will tell my parents about today's badminton game. Today is the part two of my tournament schedule. I'll be having four games for today: Game 6,10,12 and a standby game. To convince my parents to allow me to play, I sent a text message to my dad asking him to just pick me up from the badminton court so that he'll be assured that I am safe. He agreed. Conflict resolved.

The time of the tournament has come and the women's tournament was a big L. We lost to two games straight, for two sets only. But it's okay, we had fun and enjoyed the whole game. The win from the doubles made up for the previous loss. As for the last game, I don't know what's the result since it was converted to a singles match because of the absence of the other team's teammate. Kuya Julius, my mixed doubles partner, played on our team's behalf.

What's fun during the tournament is that my mom and dad came with my cousin Balong. My officemates got the chance to see how cute he is! :)

Programming: Disable All Breakpoints

Have you debugged a program using a breakpoint? It is pretty helpful right? You get to determine the bugs you have in your code by stepping into the program's methods and see if it worked the way you want them to. But isn't it annoying when you are so confident with your code fix and you forget to remove the breakpoint and you test your program and it moves back to Visual Studio because of that red dot?

During one of my programming tasks within this week, I am assigned to refactor codes to make the system work faster. Part of my task is to determine the frequency of the method calls. For this task, I used breakpoints and placed them in each method. During the testing phase, some codes didn't work because it was being barred by the breakpoint. I removed the breakpoint and it worked. But still, I need to know the frequency so I added the breakpoint again. As expected, it was barred once more.

To solve this issue since it is pretty annoying to the programmer to add and remove breakpoints, I used the Disable All Breakpoints command from the Debug menu. As the name implies, it disables all breakpoints but it still stays where it was placed. With this, the program can be tested smoothly. If there is a need to use the breakpoints again, just hit the Enable All Breakpoints from the same menu.

Badminton Tournament: Win-Lose-Win

It should be first a big thanks to the Father for making me recover from my virus last week. My cough and cold are gone and now I am ready to smash some shuts (my shortened term for shuttlecocks).

From the previous badminton games. Ü

I joined our company's badminton tournament. My previous schedule, which was last week, was cancelled due to my poor health condition. Gladly, the organizers re-scheduled me for this week; today and Wednesday. I almost forgot my game for today because we just returned from Laguna yesterday and thanks to my poor decision on what to wear I remembered that I have to play today. So before going to the office I decided to wear a ready-to-play attire and grabbed B'bee (my Dunlop badminton racket; named B'bee because its color is yellow and black, the same as the Transformers Autobot Bumblebee) then went off. I told my mom that I'll be going home late because of the game. They didn't know it will start by 2000H until 2300H as per schedule of my game which is Game 1, 6 and 12 (the last game). I'll be screwed.

Two hours before the game I called my dad, saying that I'll go home by 2300H. He was furious and that is an expected reaction. He said that he'll be tired and won't be able to pick me up after the game since he will be driving my aunt and cousin to the airport (they'll be returning to Canada). I told him I will try to switch games with the other players for me to leave early. He told me to update and him and once again reminded me to go home early. After the conversation, my boyfriend asked me what my dad said. I told him that he was unhappy about what I said about the game time. He told me to tell my dad that he will just accompany me home for them not to be worried. I told him if he's sure because I'm pretty hesitant since I know he lacks sleep and if he was to accompany me he'll go home late. He said yes, and I know he is.

We arrived at Smashville by i30 (Shisho's car) with Mitc and ate a sundae cone before the game. Our first opponent was Mitc and Sheila. Me and Ate Jamie, my partner, won. As for the mixed doubles game, my partner was Kuya Julius, we unfortunately lost to Kuya Ace and Ate Jamie. The last game was with Ms. Alia and Ms. Jen, and Ate Jamie and I won again. It ended by 2300H as expected and I also expected a disappointing text from my mom. As planned, Ray accompanied me home and told me to just relax and let my parents say their side then after, I'll be the one to explain. I agreed and thank God we both had a safe trip home.
